      Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Premise Health.

      Entrevista

      The process is generally standard. There is an HR screening, followed by a conversation with the recruiting manager, and a panel interview based on an assessment you are given 24 hours to take. Personally, the assessment component left a bad taste in my mouth. Yes, these are standard procedure for hiring and are not something I am unfamiliar with. However, for me, I do have a day job as well. I am being asked to clean data, query data, create a presentation, and have basic domain knowledge of the dataset in the middle of the work week. I have never had less than 48 hours to complete one of these previously. I expressed to them that, completing this was not in the realm of possibility for me despite my best efforts, and I respectfully withdrew. To be honest, this felt like a "weeding out" process to remove folks they perhaps don't feel "really want it." If I had a free weekend day to do it, I absolutely would and could. But when I expressed these concerns, all I was told was there was no flexibility because they wanted to finish the hire before the holidays. It was expressed to me in earlier conversations how important culture is to Premise, but this did not leave me with that impression out of the gate. The folks I spoke to were kind and it feels like a fine place to work. I was disappointed in the lack of flexibility, especially as I was up very late into the evening (as my grandmother is reaching end of life in the hospital at the same time) trying to put something together to present to a panel. I understand these processes work both ways and there are other candidates who may be unemployed / have more free during the work week to dedicate an entire day. It was not particularly challenging, but again, they are seemingly testing more for "who wants it more" vs "who will do the best job," in my opinion.
