Receive an email or call from their recruiting department. The recruiter then asks you questions regarding your qualifications. If they see that you would be a viable applicant they forward that information to the manager that needs the position filled.
On in person meeting day, you meet with 3-5 people in different positions and titles. QA, development, and programming work close together. They want to see if you fit the "company culture".
What I didn't like about the interview and how it felt was that their workforce is primarily white. They like to say that they are trying to fit the right person and to make sure that the interviewee fits the "COMPANY CULTURE". When they say fit the company culture, it is their nice way of saying making sure you are either a super qualified minority that can fit in with their current white employees. Yeah, there are some minorities, but from my research on the position I was not able to find a single minority in that same position. I used linkedin to look up current employees and their previous qualifications to compare what made them more qualified candidates. On average they had same or less qualifications.
