Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Procureship (Maroúsi) em fev. de 2025

      Entrevista

Firstly, a Google Meet call with IntelliJ's tool Code With Me, then a second meeting on-site, and finally, a call or an email to give you the offer. The company seems to have some green and many red flags. In the first interview, you meet a very polite programmer that know his job, give you time, and respect your pace - he make you feel like you want to collaborate with him. If you manage to solve the mind tests (in this stage, the company wants to test your way of thinking), you get to the second interview—on-site, and there you can see that they invest in their tools (Mac laptops, IntelliJ's full toolkit, etc.). And there is where the green flags are over. During the second interview, you are told that you might have to work over 8 hours per day (they tell you that you might work less - in which I have my doubts), that the 1/3 of your time you will be doing side-work (they called it 'chores'), that you are special because only 1 in 30 people reach this stage so you will be working with the top 3% of programmers but when it comes to money you will be paid as lower as possible, that company do not trust you so you will start with a contract that legally binds them only for a 6 month period - then it is in their hands if you will continue or not, that for this period you have to go everyday to office (the job is hybrid ONLY after 6 months - until then it is full on site), they tell you that they are startup and wants from you to acknowledge that this is a risky job, that you have to do A LOT of multitasking and that the job will be difficult. Overall, you are asked too many questions in too little time, which makes the whole interview look like interrogation and the whole second process is trying to scare you—probably to accept a lower salary. They seem like they don't know what to ask from their future employees, and they actively don't trust them. This company seems to have potential, but the red flags are too many and too large to be worth accepting a small offer.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased that your initial experience with our technical team was positive and that you appreciated the tools and working environment we’ve invested in. Regarding the final interview, kindly note that our intention is to be transparent about the realities of the role — including possible challenges, expectations, and growth opportunities. The on-site phase supports our collaborative culture, helping to ensure proper training and alignment during the early stages of employment — something we’ve found to be highly beneficial for new team members. We would also like to clarify that no one is pressured to accept a lower salary. Compensation is predefined based on the role and level of experience, so the claim about being paid “as lower as possible” is not true. Additionally, we strongly value work-life balance. No employee at Procureship is obliged to work beyond standard hours, and we follow this principle in practice. Finally, the suggestion that we don’t know what to ask of our future employees is unfounded. Our interview process is designed to evaluate both technical skills and personality traits, ensuring we bring on team members who align with our values and role requirements. We still appreciate your input and wish you every success in your career journey. Best regards, Procureship HR Department
