I was contacted by a recruiter. I thought they were looking for a security specialist but agreed to be put forward anyway. I was surprised to get offered an interview so opted for a telephone interview as I thought they would soon reject me. The telephone interview went well and I was immediately offered a face to face in Milton Keynes. This is where alarm bells started to ring. I was told the interview was going to be a formality with the HR people so I wouldn’t meet my manager. I’d also read the Glassdoor reviews for the UK! Unfortunately there were road closures and accidents so I was half an hour late, although I kept them informed. I had given myself lots of time. When I got there I found it was an hour long competency interview with the HR guy and the manager. It was cut short because they both had other meetings so I didn’t get to talk to them much. They told me to wait a week or two for a decision. I’m still waiting. I figured that as they were chaotic and always in meetings it wouldn’t be a good company to work for and the commute would be nasty. Really nice people though.
