I applied online to a listed position. Terka replied to my application very quickly and invited me to a meetup organized by productboard instead of doing a more traditional phone screen. I got a chance to speak with Terka and other people from the company and form an opinion about the people and company's culture. I was overwhelmed by the passion especially from Terka but also from everyone I had a chance to speak with. After this event, I was invited for an on-site technical interview. The interview was divided into two parts. The first one focused on system design and the second one was more practical as it included coding. I had a chance to speak with the interviewer and we discussed my previous experiences and my plans and goals for the future. The technical interview was followed by a video call with the CTO. The last part of the interview process is a call with the CEO. Overall, the interview process was very quick and was well organized by Terka from People Ops. Each part of the interview was held in a friendly manner. I enjoyed the calls with CTO and CEO as it was more focused on me, my goals and culture fit into the company and I got to chance to see their passion for the company and product.

There are several rounds of interviews, both technical and personal aspects are evaulated during the process. We started on a really high level with discussing expectations, interests and mindset alignment. As the rounds progressed, we dove into the details of Ruby and Javascript languages. I extremely like that the interviewers are geniunely interested into you, your interests, past experiences and the overall fit for the role. What I missed is to have the rest of my coworkers included in the process as I strongly believe the dynamics within the team is more important than knowing all the nitty-gritties of a particular language or technology.
