I would first like to start off by saying that I have been unemployed for 6 months now after giving birth to my daughter. This is the longest I've been out of work in years and I must say finding a job has been a lot harder than I could've ever imagined but then I found Progressive. The position was posted on Indeed.com and I went on to view the Progressive job page where I submitted my application. After doing some research on the company and reading a few employee reviews I was very interested in the position and working for Progressive. My skills, experience and background are all closely related to the position for which I applied so I was hopeful and anticipating moving forward with in the interviewing process until I had my phone interview. I prepared a few answers the night before and I was very confident that I would do well. Unfortunately that confidence was cut short as soon as the interview began. The interviewer seemed to be annoyed or having a bad day and that alone threw me off. I then became very nervous and while trying to answer the questions I also found myself trying not to annoy her even more so I did not go into detail or answer as extensively as I wanted to. The interview seemed very rushed and she gave me the impression that my responses were annoying her.
This was very discouraging for me because I know recruiters decisions are very important and applicants cannot move forward without their approval. They should be required to be just as enthusiastic and professional as the interviewee. It saddens me to know that an interview with someone who was clearly having a bad day is in control of making a decisions that could affect my future. I really want and need this job so I am keeping my fingers crossed for this one. I know for a fact that I am thee perfect candidate for the position and I hope that they'll change their interviewing process in the future. I was not offered an invitation to schedule an onsite interview during the phone interview so now its just a waiting game. I was very discouraged by the recruiter and I just felt that Progressive should be made aware of that. Best of luck to you all and myself.

So I will admit, the interview process is lengthily but it is all worth it! First I had to pass the assessment, then the video submissions and once I finally passed that I was able to actually connect with the recruiter and just go over what there was to be expected in my upcoming video interview with management. She gave me all of the info as to what were some things that were going to focus on the most ( Time Management & Decision Making ) and to just have some examples already set. I made myself a google doc with different questions and answers (all STAR format based) because the STAR format is how theyu conduct the interviews. But after about a week of getting all of these things done, I had my interview on a Tuesday and was told I would be hearing from the recruiter within a couple of days but was lucky enough to receive a call later that same day and HAPPILY ACCETPED! Good things come to those who wait. The questions I put below aren't the exact ones but they are pretty much the same, they are the answers I used for my interview answers.

Long process, pre-screen, video interview, another interview with leadership. It was definitely a long drawn out process. I have never experienced anything of the sort. If I don’t get an offer I’m not sure I’d ever apply again, it was very intimidating.

It ending up being a waste of time. Before having some submit a video interview, actually take the time to review their resume, to see if they would be a good fit.
