A waste of time. After applying and passing the assessment, I received an email from a recruiter to schedule a phone interview. The recruiter lacked enthusiasm and you could tell she had done this 1000 times which should have been another red flag that Progressive is nothing more than a revolving door (Don’t ignore the multitude of negative reviews on this company). A week after the interview the recruiter finally got back to me. She sent an email to begin a background check and then I was able to move on to the in person interview and this is where things got even worse. I interviewed at the Norcross office, and unfortunately the interviewers were not nice and specifically the male was borderline rude during the interview. Another red flag, is that they wanted to ensure that my school would not interfere with me being the perfect slave. They used the STAR method. There is a trend where many interviewers/companies are developing tunnel vision and expect specific answers without seeing the bigger picture. They are doing nothing more than forcing candidates to lie and exaggerate about their experiences on the job. In the end, many of the candidates still end up leaving the company anyway. After leaving the interview, I felt so negative. A week after the interview I received A PHONE CALL, telling me that I was not moving forward. Talk about adding salt to a wound. I appreciate the fact that they at least followed up to let you know the outcome but most companies send you a rejection email if you are not moving forward. My whole perception of the company changed. I used to look up to Progressive as being a decent company but I was so wrong. I will never apply to this company in the future nor will I ever give them my business.
