The entire hiring/interview process took approximately 1 month. Because other applicants’ timelines were helpful during my job search, I will structure this review in a similar manner. Fri 8/27- Applied online (completed online ‘application’, uploaded resumé, and viewed Claims Adjuster Trainee video on the Progressive website) Fri 9/3- Received email invite to complete assessment and completed assessment in the same day. The assessment was in four parts: vocabulary terms/usage, math problems, personality assessment and a mock customer service scenario. View each assessment question through a customer service lens and answer as such. And pay attention to the directions given for the mock customer service scenario and complete each step. I set aside an hour to complete all of this and I did use most of the hour. I also believe there is an accompanying video from Progressive-definitely watch it prior to starting the assessment. Tues 9/7-Received email invite to complete video interview from HireVue. Because I knew that the questions would need to be answered using the STAR format (from other applicants, Progressive videos, and previous utilization of this format at a prior company), I was prepared to complete the interview on the same day. You are given up to 6 days to complete, however it is recommended that you take as soon as possible. Thurs 9/9-Received email invite for face to face interview (via video/HireVue platform) with Progressive manager. As soon as I received it, I immediately clicked on the link and was able to schedule an interview for the next day. It was possibly a cancellation because the scheduling calendar appeared to be grayed out on the following days. Fri 9/10- Completed F2F interview with one of the managers and again, answered questions using the STAR format. I think there were 6-8 questions, then I was given information on the position itself, hours, etc. I was told it would be about two weeks before a decision would be made. Thurs 9/16- Received conditional offer (contingent on background which was conducted by HireRight). Fri 9/24-Background completed by HireRight Tues 9/28- Contingency removed and final offer received. Accepted. Start date at end of October. From the videos to the interviewing manager, my recruiter and new supervisor, everyone at Progressive has been wonderful.
