Initial screening with Talent Acquisition
2nd round with Hiring Manager
3rd round is with 2 peers to do over a required presentation (though this was not what was communicated in the calendar invite) They also stated (in writing) that I would be paid $50 for the time I spent preparing for this round. I never received and my inquiry about it was ignored.
4th round is with an executive

3 Stages:
- Screening Call, basic information collection
- Live Tech Test, solving a coding problem live via remote VSCode terminal. Hosted by a Backend & Frontend Engineer, both very friendly.
- Meeting with Product Manager & Engineering Manager. Full engagement from the Engineering Manager, Product Manager didn't say anything.

Initial conversation with a hiring manager, follow up with engineering leads, then a technical assessment followed by a panel interview discussing it.
The initial conversations were interesting, although data engineering heavy for an AE role.
The technical assessment had incredibly few instructions, and from the feedback they seemed to want you to guess what it was they were thinking. They ask for a single mart model for example, and yet expect you to produce multiple. The datasets are ambiguous, and if you make the incorrect assumptions about them, they also penalise that. They have included several “gotchas” too which they expect you to identify. They did not seem to like disagreement either and it was clear they were working on their own work whilst the interview was going on, which felt pretty rude.
Not sure what they are looking for but I’m not surprised the role has been open for so long.
