I was contacted via email by PRS asking if I am interested in becoming a proofreader with their service. I had never heard of them. nor do I have proofreading experience. The email stated they found my resume on Indeed. I assume they were interested in me due to my teaching, research, and publication experience on a university level. They sent me a two page academic paper to proofread and edit using the APA method. They pay $8.00 per 1000 words. I edited the paper and emailed it back to them. I am waiting for a response. I am skeptical about whether this contract work will be worth the time. I'm going to give it a try.
