Entrevista
I applied to interview for the Senior Financial Analyst position. The interview is virtual (via Microsoft Teams). The day before the interview, the manager calls me and says they need to reschedule because their system was down. The day of the interview, they make you turn on your camera, while everyone else has their camera turned off.... They ask ALL technical skills and maybe one or two behavioral questions (which is absolutely opposite of the job description, which stated that the interview process is based on a compilation of behavioral questions from Providence). They basically want a number cruncher. They said that the job really isn't an analyst job, but an accounting job. I answered a question and ten minutes later, was asked the same question, That's to say that some of the people were not listening.

What are your accounting skills? Do you think you'll be bored here? What are your skill levels on inter-company transactions? They provide examples and make you book journal entries...

The first step in the process was a text-based screening. The next step was an interview with the hiring manager. Only a few minutes into the interview, it was abruptly ended after I was asked whether I had experience with SQL, which I did not.
If SQL experience is critical, this should be included in the screening questions or reviewed from the resume before scheduling interviews. Additionally, the interviewer’s approach was unnecessarily rude. I would have expected better interpersonal skills from someone in a senior position at the organization.
Pretty straight forward. Interview with manager then with team. Questions were standard behavioral. Also had to submit video recorded answers relating to Providence values and mission as a first line of interview with screener.
