I applied for a Manager role in April 2025 and went through four rounds of interviews. Midway through the process, it was suggested I be considered for a Director level position based on my experience and background, which was encouraging. The process then moved quickly, and I met with multiple senior leaders, including the VP of HR.
Unfortunately, what started as a positive and engaging experience ended on a disappointing note. My final interview with HR felt unprofessional, the interviewer seemed distracted and even paused the conversation to greet the new CEO, which came across as disrespectful given the setting. During that same meeting, I was told the hiring timeline would be extended, despite prior urgency to fill the role.
After several months and six total interviews, I followed up only to learn they still hadn’t decided what direction to take with the role. While I appreciated the initial enthusiasm and transparency from most of the team, the lack of closure and professionalism toward the end left a poor impression.
