I received a voicemail from a recruiter and responded within an hour, leaving him a voicemail with contact info and best times to call. I didn't hear back. I called again after a week and a half. He asked me how many years of experience I had. He said he was looking for 3 years minimum experience. I made the case that my experience, although short, was very substantial in that I had attained significant recognition for my work. I told him I would be happy to provide work samples. He told me to email them to him. He promised to follow-up with me after receiving them. I emailed him and never heard back. I felt that the process lacked professionalism. It seemed like he contacted me before making sure that I met the experience requirements, then on top of that wasn't up front with telling me I wasn't qualified and decided to just leave me hanging instead.
