I don't think the technical skills assessment from Q-Centrix accurately evaluated my skills. Some of the people I interviewed with seemed disinterested and disingenuous about their jobs as well as the company in general and gave me concerns about the culture, which seems bro-y. They seemed quite desperate to backfill their roles, and several employees blamed the departures on the pandemic, remote work, etc. which felt a bit obtuse since the pandemic has been going on for 2 years now. They seem intent on hiring remote workers, yet a lot of their engineers are based in San Diego and spoke highly about liking in person get-togethers with coworkers, which gave me concerns about being a fully remote employee.
