I got call for technical interview 2-3 days after applying online. Below points from the Interview. 1. Interviewer was 5 min late 2. There was to 2 member panel but one did not join and no reason provided. 3. The person Interviewing was more focused on syntax rather than logic. 4. He asked minute things that are never used in actual Automation like what is the super interface of webdriver. Does it matter if I don't know. 5. At one point it looked like he had some set of questions and asking from it. 6. On SQL front he started asking Altering tables and more which is a DBA task. When I asked, are you allowed to alter database schema then first he said yes we do so I argued on how come any one allow it and he admitted of using only select statements. He got annoyed of thay and might have hurted his ego and resulted in my disqualification. 7. He was asking questions with java programs like what will be output of this and that, but syntax only was wrong in that. When I said it's syntax error, he was like consider it's correct. 8. People can go and find any syntax on Google so just don't test based on syntax. Personally I don't remember all syntax because it's not required. 9. There is no moral responsibility to revert back with feedback of the Interview, even if it's rejected.
