Had a single interview with two Quest team members. The interview started off really good and I was enjoying the conversation I was having with the first interviewer. We mainly were discussing my background and different technologies that I had used in my career.
The mood drastically changed for the worse when the second interviewer started grilling me. The interviewer was going in-depth into very specific technologies and had some questions that, in my opinion, aren’t things that you would memorize for an interview. I get that they were trying to gauge my knowledge but when I answered a question incorrectly, the interviewer replied “The answer is actually this, look it up.”
To me, interviews are supposed to be conversations to see if there’s a potential match and it felt like I was taking an exam and the interviewer was just checking off boxes to make sure they asked enough questions. If this is how it’s like to work at this company I’m glad I was able to see it before committing to working there.
