      Entrevista para Account Director

      3 de abr. de 2018
      Candidato(a) sigiloso(a) à entrevista
      San Francisco, CA
      Nenhuma oferta
      Experiência negativa
Entrevista com nível médio de dificuldade

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 6 meses. Fui entrevistado pela RAPP (San Francisco, CA) em set. de 2017

      Entrevista

The interview process was lengthy, exhausting, super inconvenient and very frustrating. I went through 7 rounds of interviews (over the span of several months), with only positive comments throughout. Several of the staff LinkedIn with me after interviews. I even constructed a capabilities deck and did a presentation for key executives. After the 7th interview (in-person presentation), I never received follow-up. The recruiters began ignoring my emails and calls inquiring about position status. I was never actually told I didn't get the job, I just gave up after 4 months of inquiring with no response. After the time and energy invested on my part, not to mention rearranging my schedule 7 times to show up and be engaged in the opportunity - I thought it was incredibly unprofessional, and a poor decision on their part to burn a bridge with an industry professional in our small community. And it was 100% unnecessary. A call that says, "I'm sorry, we decided to go with another candidate" or something of that nature - would have been quick, effective and professional. But, they did none of that. And after 7 months, I'm left wondering - where did I go wrong, what is missing from my experience, how did I misstep? So very rude. And likely very representative of their company, so it's probably a good thing that I didn't get the position.

      Perguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pergunta 1

Well, my first in-person was a 3-hour long interview - where I met with 4 different people, who asked the exact same questions 4 times. I find those to be very exhausting exercises, especially when they all offer water (which you need, because you're wearing too many layers and they pick the hottest room to interview in). But, then you have to uncomfortably tell the 3rd interviewer that you need a restroom break. Which is actually a nice break for your face, as it's also tiring to smile for 3 consecutive hours. They were basic interview questions, not thoughtful or specific to my background or experience. All seemed unprepared and put out by the investment of their time. They needed printed resumes, which I thought was ironic for a digital agency.
