My interview process entailed a conversation with the store manager. I was asked about my familiarity with the outdoors, why I thought I would be a good fit at REI, and so on. It was a very casual conversation, on the friendlier side as opposed to a business/professional relationship. That relationship is, more or less, maintained now as an employee.

I went through a pre-recorded interview and then a Teams interview. The pre-recorded interview was pretty generic and then the Teams interview allowed for more time to get to know the role and share your skills.
