Standard recruiter call screen, then call lasted about 20 min. This was followed by video interview with the hiring manager for about 30 min. Both were standard interview questions, nothing out of the ordinary.
This company discriminates based on if you were laid off from a job and for age. The HR rep that contacted me clearly didn't read my resume before calling me, as soon as we started discussing my resume she says oh I now see that you are no longer working with your current company. It's extremely frustrating to be on the receiving end of these phone calls. Not only am I aware of the uphill battle I am facing I realized in a split second during the phone call that the hiring process was going to fizzle out as fast as it started with this company. The phone call was limited to 30 minutes, the HR rep will end it within that strict time frame. I was asked only one question pertaining directly to the job what is my experience with XXX. I answered the question beautifully and asked if there were any follow up questions or clarifications to please let me know never heard back except for the rejection email. There is no way you can determine if a candidate is going to be a good fit after only asking 1 question pertaining to the job.
