Went through several interviews with this company and as the process continued, without it being specifically put in words, I was led to believe that my application would be successful and it was just a matter of 'meeting' various people within the company. Suddenly at the end of the process I was asked to have an interview with someone who was essentially doing the same job, in another location, that I was applying for. This person was new to the company having only worked for them a few month and it didn't feel completely appropriate to me that someone like this should be interviewing me, especially as on paper I had substantially more experience. (I saw this person's profile on LinkedIn so I knew a little about them. ) From the moment the Zoom interview started I knew this was not going to work out, it felt like she took an instant dislike to me for absolutely no reason. She also had no experience interviewing and it was very evident. I came away from the experience with a very sour taste in my mouth. The next day I was rejected via a very sweet and short email by the person who had indicated to me that this last interview was really no more than a formality. I wrote back asking if they could expand on why I have been rejected, especially as I had invested so much time and energy into the interview process and been interviewed on about 5 different occasions?! I never received a response! I felt that this whole process was ultimately very unprofessional and inappropriate on so many levels and naturally very disappointing. Definitely not the way to treat people.
