The process was pretty fast. There was an in-person interview with director followed by onsite interview. The in-person interview was very relaxing, pretty casual and all about behavioral questions. The onsite lasted for less than an hour with both behavioral and technical questions. Technical questions are several excel questions.

2 weeks after I applied, the Optimization Coordinator contacted me via email to schedule a timed Excel Optimization assignment, it was a cool project and a week later the Optimization Coordinator scheduled a phone interview with me. 1 week later I was scheduled for an interview with Optimization team members in San Francisco office. Half of the interview was focused on my background and experience, and the other half was an on-site Excel test regarding their daily job simulation, while I thought I am a great candidate I failed to perform well because of the lack of knowledge of ad-tech marketing optimization metrics and conceptualizing them in the given time. The team was great and patience going through every piece of the Excel Test explaining whatever I didn't know and I learned a lot from the interview and if I had chosen in this round there would have been one last interview with senior management.

This is my worst interview experience. I had my first round phone screen interview in early March with an operation specialist. After that, I did a simple assignment. After submitting the assignment, I didn't hear back from the recruiter. Then, one month later, he sent me an email told me that they were ironing out a few kinks in their interview process. And I scheduled another phone interview with the same recruiter. He didn't remember anything about me and what we had talked in the first round. He should have known my background since we have discussed that in the first round interview. Even worse, he told me he didn't understand what I did and what I say. He didn't respect me at all. Interviewing with companies like this is just wasting time. I have interviewed with lots of great companies and startups. Most of the recruiters will make candidates feel the whole process comfortable. So, DO NOT waste time on interview with this company.
