I believe they may have changed their process a little bit since I applied, but it took 2.5 months from application to getting an offer. It involved the initial pre-recorded interview where I had to answer timed questions but could re-record if needed before submitting. Next was a 1:1 zoom interview with my manager, then a panel interview with some team members, a timed written exercise (free labor), and a final values alignment interview with the CEO and my manager. The application system itself asked for a cover letter AND 200 word essay WITH citations showing what I could teach them about conservation. Totally unnecessary for the role I was applying to and caused extra stress. I kept preparing for someone to ask me about the essay and no one ever did. When I got the job and started talking to people, I found out that HR wasn’t even aware their app system was asking people to submit essays! They had no clue. That’s why no one ever asked me about it and it was a complete waste of time. I figured out that they were pretty unorganized and waste people’s time with an arduous an interview process when they end up laying people off monthly.
