Entrevista
Interview process was very informational, detailed and well structured. I talked with 4 individuals throughout the process and after my talks I had a strong understanding of the role, challenges and opportunities. Was able to get a good feel for the culture and was provided all the necessary benefit and compensation information needed to make an educated decision. The process moved quickly and I was very pleased with the constant communication from the company during the entire interview process.

I was asked to provide a plan of action if I were to join the company. While not expected it was a great resource for wrapping my head around the steps I would take should I join the organization. Highly effective.
Très bon entretien, à l’écoute. Le premier se fait avec la RH qui était très gentille et ouverte à la discussion (donne des conseils pour entretien 2). 2ème entretien avec le manager et pas de cas pratique

Pourquoi Rakuten et pas une autre boite de e-commerce ?
Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 3 meses. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Rakuten (San Mateo, CA).
Entrevista
The entire process (3 rounds of video interviews) took 3.5 months, only for me to receive an auto-generated "position filled" letter. Ridiculous.
The recruiter couldn't email candidates, presumably only a handful, who made it to the third round? The recruiter was still with the company at that time, as far as I could tell.
Hiring freeze, maybe? Or some other corporate interference? Regardless, no excuses. I moved on long before I got the rejection letter.
Also, during one interview session, two people at two different scheduled times asked many of the same questions. Why not divide and conquer to cover the most ground?
To me this says "indifferent" and "uninterested." Initially I was very excited about the role/team/company but after two months I went to MEH.
