Took 1 month from applying online, online interview (video submission), and onsite interview. Everything is nice, organized just like other Japanese tech companies.
The company is focusing more on foreign applicants as it needs to globalize its business procedures and technical groups. The interviewer asked many interesting questions, really trying to introduce about the company.

Basic Ajax, SQL, why you are interested in Rakuten
chill, friendly, respectful people. Started with technical questions to do. The interview started with the interviewer introducing themselves, which was a nice way of making the whole interview process comfortable and respectful.
They ask your background and why you want to work at this company. They are very friendly and nice. It takes around 15mins to 30mins. You don’t have to speak Japanese.

I went there by a recruiter. So they arranged everything about the interview. The interview process was a single interview. Attend the interview if they select you then you can join
