2. Questions related to Monitoring and CI
Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). O processo levou 5 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Rakuten em mar. de 2025
Entrevista
1. Recruiter reached out and asked initial screening question
2. Tech Round1: Technical questions on cloud, devops, linux and automation
3. Tech Round2: All questions based on previous projects and complete chitchat with an IIT guy with 2 years experience. Very basic questions about education and professional career. More like general discussion. Manager was also present but he was silent most of the time.
4th Round: Director from Japan(Indian) asked couple of questions of job change, avoiding unnecessary leaves, Japanese work culture and work pressures management. Also asked couple of core networking concepts.
Next day:
Later, HR called me and and confirmed I got selected, he took HR discussion over phone. Also, collected counter offers. (Asking to share complete email thread of counter offer from other company)
He said offer will be released in 2 hrs amd he got approval from management.
Then I didn't receive the offer even after evening. Later he called and asked to take interview with different project team because they have more budget and they can also offer more than the counter.
He said "If I don't clear that round or if I don't like the tech stack/project, I will get the offer from the project which I was interviewed before."
Tech round with new Project: The panel was unprofessional and took an interview completely on Linux and core networking . The questions were more on their current process and he was not willing to know what is my area of expertise and my current work. - It was more like not to select process"
After that HR started giving reasons by avoiding me to get any feedback or he didn't share tge further steps.
Almost 2 weeks wasted without sharing any information.........
HR was not picking up the call and borrowing more time.
Later, he told the old project manager is saying he don't have budget and decided to move with other guy. And new project which I took interview, they also closed the position.
"Here they wasted my time successfully by lieing and building wrong expectations "
HR was telling it is mistake from Hiring manager! But at the end it's my time wasted. There is no professionalism in tge interview process. We can't trust Rakuten even after we get job offer/confirmation.
