The hiring process itself was fairly simple. I saw a posting online and mailed a paper copy of my resume and cover letter.
I was called for an interview a week later.
I was interviewed by the director of aquatics and the HR manager.
The interview itself was not very desirable.
I was asked several questions about my senior design project in college - at this point, I was out of college for 1 year and 3 months. The questions about my senior design project were irrelevant to the position I was applying for. The interviewer said he was just curious.
At that point, I was highly looked down upon because I had lost my job before this interview.
The interviewer told me that they were hiring for the aquatics division, but other divisions were looking for work within their company. The interviewer told me that I was better off interviewing with other companies.
i viewed the interview as a complete waste of time, other than gaining experience interviewing.
I sent a thank you email to both personnel and a follow up email and never heard back from this company.
In addition to the interview, I was given a brief tour of the CAD room.
