The interview was easy, but the demo lesson was difficult. It was only difficult because no clear instruction was given on how to properly conduct the demo lesson, and this is most important to applicants who do not have previous ESL teaching experience, like me. They expect me to know what to do. They even told me the proper way to introduce myself AFTER the first demo lesson. They never told me I had to praise the student, had to encourage him to speak in complete sentences, how to give feedback, and how to properly wrap the lesson up. Most of the comments in their feedback could have been avoided had they told me the ideal way to conduct a lesson. Moreover, the interviewer gave me such a hard time, and did not say any obvious mistakes, and some mistakes you would confuse as how a native Japanese person would say the word, since they have an accent. Overall, inconsiderate treatment of applicants. Already sent a complaint.
