Again, no interview. This is the third or fourth time I have applied for a technical writing role since 2020. In two different states. Different roles each time. Every single time, I go through this long, complex, non-ADA accessible application process. The first application for a role in New England involved writing several custom essays to questions using non-adjustable text boxes that were too small to read. Applying requires using the worst job application system in the world - Workday. I can't access their application portal because it won't reset the password. There is no contact information for Red Hat for WorkDay to contact the Admin. There isn't even an ADA contact for HR. The error message has the worst UX ever - "contact the admin" without a way to do that. The canned letter doesn't explain why they sent a rejection letter, and I can't access the portal to see what happened. I have more experience than required. They must have some very odd, specific tool that is a requirement that isn't clearly identified in their job postings, and any technical writer who doesn't have that one skill, is automatically rejected. Or perhaps it is because they are using Workday, which was apparently sued for age discrimination? Do not apply to Red Hat unless they ditch Workday. Not worth the hassle of dealing with the Workday platform.

There was no interview schedule because Red Hat auto-rejected my application, which is probably related to the fact that they use Workday, which is not an ADA-accessible platform.
Zoom call. Relaxed and easygoing. Interviewer asked relevant questions about my qualifications, interests, and personal proclivities. She was happy to answer every question I asked about the position. The interview lasted 15 minutes longer than it shouls, which I took as a good sign.
