Before the first technical interview recruiter shared with me the list of topics on data structures and algorithm development that could be relevant for the interview. In the beginning of the interview the interviewer asked me about how hash tables work and asked me to describe in more details hash functions and why hash collision happens (very weird questions for an ML position). After that a coding task where .json data should have been processed was shown and it had nothing to do with algorithms/data structures that are usually a part of such a test. It was just a pure (and a bit boring and tedious) data processing where fields should be extracted, converted, regrouped, etc. The task was not hard but it was easy to make mistake among many fields' transformations and aggregations.

the first round is to build a model given a dataset, then moved to onsite including pair coding, ML system design, project deep dive with hiring manager, and ML knowledge
I completed the initial coding round for reddit. I have done many interviews and I can confidently say this was the best performance I've had in any interview. It was a modeling type question, I finished so quickly that we ended up also doing a full systems design question after. I waited for my recruiter to get back to me, after following up she said i did very well but the spot was filled so she is going to look for other roles within the company for me to complete the onsite. I have followed up 5 times on email and messaged her on linkedin and she has completely ghosted me. Completely unproffessional. Avoid at all costs!
I received a wait email from the recruiter while they are reviewing applications. The recruiter got back to me and said that the role had been filled and to apply to similar roles in the future.
