Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Refurbed em nov. de 2024
Entrevista
- First, a call with HR to better understand what the position was about and the mission of the company.
- Second, a take home task: unfortunately the problem statement was very poorly written and let to confusion on what were the objectives. I made a solution that covered most of the cases, but they didn't give me the chance to discuss it.

A relatively simple take home test, but with a poorly written problem statement.

The interview had the following rounds:
- Screening with the recruiter.
- Take-home test
- Tech round with developers
- Company fit round with product and eng manager
- Bar raiser with CTO
I found the interview experience overall really nice. The take-home test was interesting and fairly challenging, but did not take more time than one evening to complete. And the interviews were engaging and collaborative, and the interviewers were friendly and welcoming.
I also really liked the punctuality, I always got very clear estimates regarding when I can expect to receive feedback or the next round to be scheduled, so it was easy to manage expectations.

Entrevista
First round was with an HR representative. Her nice manners and energetic personality made me feel very comfortable. So it was more like a pleasant chat than anything else. Of course many behavioral questions were asked as well as a small technical quiz in various languages just to check on some basic knowledge. She was very friendly, always willing to answer all of my questions even through email. She then sent me a take-home exercise which involved heavy concurrency in golang. If somebody is familiar with such concepts then it can be done in under 3 hours. It was challenging, but I prefer this way over having to solve time-framed leetcode exercises. Second round was with 2 directors and a senior software engineer. Although at the beginning I was quite nervous, their positive attitude made me feel good. I especially liked the fact that each and everyone had a diverse technical background and seemed to love what they do. Having the exercise as the base of our discussion, we talked about code reviewing, code structuring, clean code principles, concurrency and a lot of other stuff. Again they answered all of my questions, but I wish we had an extra 30 minutes to ask more questions.
