The interview process itself was normal, with a recruiter phone interview, an in-person followup, and another phone interview with a manager. Additionally, the interview required an aptitude test that was done both at home and required in person confirmation. However, the organization and clarity of the process left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I would not return for another interview. The recruiter I initially spoke with was slow to respond to emails (>48 hrs), and required a last-second rescheduling of my initial phone interview. When I arrived for my in-person interview, the process went well and was smooth. However, upon my phone followup, I was given lip service regarding a different position that they felt I was more qualified for. Management then laid out the next steps for learning more information and applying to that position, and I followed through with those steps. After a week of no contact from anyone in the organization, I received a blunt email stating the second position, which I had not applied for in the first place, had been filled.
Overall, this was an opaque and disrespectful process that leads me away from this company, no matter their opinion of me as a candidate.
