I got in touch with a recruiter (partial owner) at a career event who made a compelling sales pitch about their company. I was invited to interview, and grateful for it. The home office is located in an industrial complex with tinted windows. When I arrived 10 minutes early I was asked to wait, and ended up waiting for another 10 minutes past the scheduled time. The receptionist handed me a clipboard and an application to fill out while I sat in their lobby. I was then asked upstairs and asked to speak with the sales manager who was not the person I was told I would interview with, although they had the same first name. It felt like I was in a stranger's house with the guitar on a stand next to where I sat and interviewer taking phone calls and doing miscellaneous things in the process of "interviewing". I walked out since I drove half an hour only to realize my expectation did not meet reality.
