Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Reperio Human Capital (Belfast, Irlanda do Norte) em nov. de 2025
Entrevista
Thank you for responding. I want to clarify that my review was not about fit or the outcome of the interview process. I am very comfortable with how interviews work and have hired, interviewed and worked at senior level for many years. My feedback was about process and professional courtesy.
The final in-person interview took place on 17 December. I followed up by email on 19 December as asked to do by Reperio, again on 6 January and again on 23 January and I also phoned twice during that period. On each call I was told the Reperio was busy. At no point did I receive an acknowledgement, update or closure. During January, a different full time marketing role was advertised publicly, a marketing executive role, while candidates from the earlier process remained unanswered.
I fully understand Christmas pressures and operational demands. However, a brief holding email at any point over a six-week period would have addressed this. The absence of any response is what I described as discourteous.
On location, the role discussed was a part time Marketing Manager position (three days per week, office-based). I applied knowingly, I was travelling from Coleraine so a train to Belfast city centre 3 times a week wasnt a big deal, I confirmed availability clearly and outlined practical arrangements that made this workable. But there was continued focus on this point throughout the process felt disproportionate given the nature of the role. Regarding the interview itself, openness about a business is valuable and we all welcome that. However, a three hour interview that is completely one way, with literally one question asked to me, again on location, instead of questioning the candidate’s experience and then talking extensively negatively about previous marketing efforts and employees etc is a reasonable concern for any professional assessing leadership style and working culture.
My review was written to reflect that recruitment experiences matter because they are often the clearest indication of how an organisation operates day to day. Employer brand is shaped by behaviour and follow-through, not messaging alone.

I appreciated the interview even though it was a disappointing experience with the Recruitment team. After a provisional call I was invited in to meet the team in person. The interviews with the Recruitment team were basic. I really didn't feel she understood in any detail what I was talking about. She just asked some really basic questions which I had already answered in our telephone call? Told me lots about herself but not the company.
I did get to meet a Director - which I really appreciated. He was able to really tell me in-depth about the role and the possibilities with their company and Recruitment as a whole.
It didn't however work out but I really appreciated the candid advice in the interview which helped me secure a position elsewhere.

Had a standard screening call, was asked why I was interested in the role, what I knew about 360 recruitment and if I knew anyone in the industry.
Was asked to interview, went into their office in Bedford Street, nice building, office was okay.
Interviewed with the person who screened me which I thought was weird, she asked a little bit around my experience. They really emphasise how difficult recruitment is (which would be all well and good if I was an 18 year old with maybe only a retail background, but I'm older and familiar with the recruitment industry and have worked in some very tough sales/BD environments). Then why I think I would be a good fit for the role.
I was then interviewed by the director immediately after and asked the exact same questions. The difference being that he was extremely arrogant. When asked why I thought I would be a good fit, I gave a very candid and honest answer, I was then told to think about it and email them. Yes, they gave me homework.
Anyway I sent a couple of sentences because I didn't feel like begging for a job where the environment felt like a boys club.
I wasn't successful, although I wouldn't have taken it anyway.
I'm now working in recruitment for a while and in the top performers every month.
The interview wasn't difficult, they just expect you to beg for the job.

If I gave you £10,000 right now, what would you do with it?
