      Entrevista

I had the worst interview of my life. I cannot believe how unprofessional the interview was. In the job description, it was written 3 times that it is an international, multicultural and diverse company. I applied for the job and they opened the conversation in German, which is totally normal. After talking a little bit, I told them in German that I can understand German very well, in fact they can keep asking the questions in German but I feel more comfortable expressing myself in English. They told me “nein, sie müssen Deutsch sprechen” and did not care and continued to push me. 1) I do not lie in my CV, it is not written in my CV that I have native German skills, it is written that I have B1-B2 German. If a perfect German is required for the job, why do you send me an interview request? Please read people’s CV before inviting them to an interview. 2) If you still send an interview request to get to know me and understand my backgrond, experiences and interests, why do you block me from expressing myself when I clearly state that I cannot express myself well in German and make me feel extrememly uncomfortable? Please at least let people express themselves. 3) If you think my German level is not enough, why do you continue the conversation and keep pushing that for more than an hour? If the skills do not match, you can also finish the conversation. Please do not ask 20 questions to push people. 4) You can very well test the German skills. To do that, not allowing people to talk in English and pushing them to express themselves in a language that they state they are not comfortable with is not the right way. You can say “we would like to test your German skills as well, can you talk a litlle bit German or answer few questions in German” is OK. But you should not say NEIN SIE MUSSEN DEUTSCH SPRECHEN to a person who did not state that their German is perfect.

      Pergunta 1

-(even though they are HR and they are the ones who should have information about this process):Wouldnt it be hard to do the work permit process since you are a non-EU citizen?? -(even though we are doing an interview about a fulltime job in munich) so you want to stay in Germany and live here? - what do you think are the differences between German work culture and the culture in your country, are you sure you will be able to keep up?
