HR - fantastic conversation, knowledge about the company
Manager - Very direct, professional, knowledgeable about the position.
The Director - intense, borderline hostile.
1. Her camera was off the entire interview - she looked at me for about 10 seconds and said she was going to turn hers off. (She was in her office)
2. She would ask a question and consistently cut me off and not let me finish my answers
3. She would ask about qualifications that had nothing to do with the job I had applied for.
4. She would make assumptions about me not having qualifications that I DID have on my resume - and I would have to explain her - I did have the qualifications and point to where it was on my resume.
5. She stated I had 2 minutes to ask any questions about the role because she had an errand to run.
I was interested in the role, but a few minutes into the interview, I could tell it seemed like she was making a concerted effort (for whatever reason) not to be fair. She did not want me for this role.
I was frustrated, but I kept a smile on my face the entire time and pushed through it. I don’t believe she read my resume or the position I applied for, with some of the questions that were asked. Maybe she was unprepared or had other places to be. And I was just a casualty of the situation.
Nonetheless, I wish the next candidate the best!
