The first interview was a panel interview where myself and three other candidates interviewed with three hiring managers simultaneously. I was called back within a week for a one on one interview with one of the hiring managers. A little more than a week and half after the last interview I was made an offer.

I had 3 interviews total, all with District Managers. Personally did not find it intimidating, despite my lack of industry experience. I feel like they want to get a better sense of who you are and your people skills. One interview they asked me to sell them a bottle of whiskey. The other 2 interviews they asked me about my work experience, about me as a person, hobbies, etc. Friendly enough interviews!

I applied at the beginning of the year (Jan 2nd) for two positions. I got a call that same week from one of the hiring managers at 4:55 pm asking if I was available to interview the next day at the start of HER day. I tried to make it work, but was not able to due to the short notice. I then get a call from the hiring manager for the other position and since she was new to her role, had the help from her boss duirng the interview process. I went and did an interview, had a referral, and asked for business cards..did the whole thing just to be ghosted. In February, I recieved a call from the hiring manager whom I was not able to meet with in the beginning saying she wanted to interview me as I was recommended to her by the other managers. I took a whole day off from work and accomodated to their schedule to do the interview (which was done by one of the hiring manager's sales rep as she got in late), followed by a route ride with said sales rep and the hiring manager was supposed to meet with us and never showed up. Well, she then called me the next day to ask me follow up questions saying she was between 2 of us and it was reallllly hard to choose and asked if I would be willing to move to Austin for a spot she has there...I was open for both and tried to showed her my enthusiasm for this opportunity. Anyway, she didn't get back to me when she said she would and I kind of moved on, but she texted me saying the Austin spot was still open which I asked for a call to further discuss and never happened. I ended up taking a WAY better job in late February and around mid-March heard from another hiring manager that a spot was open for his team and I had gotten recommended by the previous hiring manager I had such a terrible experience with. I basically got tossed around for 3 times and by then it was the start of COVID-19 and they got hit hard by bars closing that all posting was taken down. I honestly feel like it was a blessing in disguise to not have landed a job here after all.

Standard STAR questions like tell me about yourself, etc. Focus on getting clear answers about the interview process and if they don't follow through with their part...move on!
