Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). Fui entrevistado pela Republic Services (Springfield, IL) em jan. de 2019
Entrevista
The interview process was very straightforward. First, there was a phone call with their recruiter. Then two in person interviews and an offer was made via email. The questions were average but also specific to how my experience is relevant to the industry.

It was a fairly easy interview process, I did well in the interviews and they questioned if I had too much experience for the role. The interviewers were all pleasant and informational, very professional and warm.

The interview consisted of a phone screen, panel interview and a final interview with the manager of Retention Supervisors. It was a fairly easy process that involved speaking on your experience and what transferable skills you have.

Entrevista
I applied online in November, 2021. The first to reach out to me was the Senior HR Director who was great to work with, very punctual, and professional. Following an initial phone screening by the aforementioned HR director, I was scheduled for a Microsoft Teams interview with two staff members from the office where I would be working if hired. I waited in the meeting lobby for more than ten minutes after the set start time until the HR director (who was not one of the two people I was set to meet with) popped in to tell me the office wanted to reschedule. At the rescheduled meeting, only one team member showed while another couldn't be reached even by their coworker who ended up conducting the interview alone, which hadn't been her plan. The staff member I interviewed with was very personable and pleasant to speak with. The next day I received news that I had been moved forward to an in-person interview on Monday with the office's general manager. On Sunday night I received a text message stating a team member had COVID and the would-be in-person interview would be moved to an online format. I responded that I would await details regarding possible rescheduling, meeting links, etc. this message was read but not responded to by the staff member who texted me. The next morning, shortly before 9:00am, I received an email with the meeting link I'd anticipated receiving Sunday afternoon or evening. As I was on another call, I did not see the message until 9:03am, three minutes into the interview and promptly contacted Republic to send my regrets for being unable to attend. I have not heard anything since regarding rescheduling and expect the process will move no further. That said it is unfortunate to have seen the sheer lack of communication and in some regard, lack of professionalism that exists at least within the office I applied to. Again, while the staff member I spoke to was fantastic, a great deal should have been done differently, not to mention penalizing an applicant for asking to reschedule an interview when Republic began the interview process with the exact same behavior. A regrettable experience, however, I wish all involved the very best.
