Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 dia. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Rev.
Entrevista
You pass some grammar and writing tests then are invited to caption the first video - less than 2 minutes in length. I was approved after this first part within a few hours. You are then invited to caption 2 longer videos that are about 3 minutes. They say it'll take 2-3 hours, but it should probably take about half that time at most.
I will say that I have a graduate degree from a top university and about 70% of the tv shows that I've watched in the past few years have been foreign and have had subtitles...
So, I completed the second video and watched the subsequent review video that showed what Rev was looking for in an ideal video. Besides a couple things that weren't mentioned in the guidelines, I can objectively say I did a good job with the second video. I would say the same thing with the 3rd video. And yet, I get an email less than 24 hours later stating they decided not to go forward with my application. According to Rev, "only 12% of applicants are approved." I was just looking for a low commitment weekend gig to fund a trip planned for next year. After this experience, Rev doesn't seem like a good fit and I wouldn't try again. But, as a general business practice, it would be helpful to those who have failed this process to get at least some cursory constructive criticism on their submission from Rev in case some applicants wanted to try again.
Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Rev (Bath, Inglaterra).

There was no interview or anyone that reached out to talk about the position. There was a test after a training video to ensure you could do the required work to a high standard.
The interview process for the freelance captioned position is fairly standard. You have to demonstrate that you can caption a video using their system. If you are able to meet metric requirements right off the bat it is not that big of a deal.
