I didn't apply for the job, HR found me. I was asked to do a test assignment. It was not complex, but it was not very simple either. Overall it took 4-5 hours. After I sent the result we never discussed it again. There were 3 stages of an interview: on-site, call and another call. During all of them I was asked same questions over and over again, most of which were answered in my resume. The majority of the questions apart from those sounded more like statements and complaints about current state of development in the company: how value and not code itself should be the goal and how every minor problem should not be generalized to library. For question about work-life balance I was given two answers at two stages: 1. Work-life balance is VERY bad (with emphasis). But nobody cares how much time you work at the office, if assigned tasks are completed; 2. You can work from home after work and during the weekends if you like. I wouldn't say that it was completely negative experience, but I didn't particularly like any stage of the interview (except maybe for an on-site). Interviewers seemed completely unprepared for them and didn't know what they were going to ask and what they were looking for in a candidate.

There were 2 technical rounds with interviewers and 1 screening test before them. Overall experience was great. Regarding screening: I was given 3 problems to be solved. 2 of them are simple enough, but for the 3rd one you need a special knowledge of algorithms (DFS). Regarding 1st interview round: common JS questions. Pretty easy. Regarding 2nd interview round: React-specific questions + small coding task (some React app needed to be improved). Interviewers were polite and supportive.
