Applied for DevOps Engineer role, after speaking to HR over the telephone I explained there were 2 roles that interested me, the other being Senior Backend Developer (Core Product). I switched to this one after a getting better understanding of the team structure. I then spoke to a different HR person who handles this role, and after discussing salary expectation I dropped out as the compensation was poor.

Some Intro call,
Then some homework: implement a cloud-hosted application with few business requirements.
Then a few rounds of interview calls with different people.
They were looking for someone more experienced with Linux VM administration than DevOps.

Whats the difference between sharding and partitioning in mysql?
Simple recruiter call with some technical questions. Next round was a take home test - design and implement a simple api and deploy to the cloud. Spent the guts of 15 hours implementing a solution and Revolut didn't even show the courtesy to reply with a no. Absolute disgrace, definitely dodged a bullet.

Entrevista
After short screening questions they gave me a homework. It took me about 2 days to finish it together with documentation. After submitting it I never had a contact from Revolut again, no feedback, absolutely nothing. I asked for a feedback but I was ignored.
