Quick but long process with 4 stages. The HR rep I dealt with was great. Very clear and helpful in how to prepare for each stage. The ‘bar raiser’ interview consisted of me having to outline my entire employment history to someone not in my field who clearly didn’t care at all and was disengaged throughout. Was literally just reading from a screen the whole time. Other stages were a hiring manager 1:1, live problem solving assessment, and team fit.

I was contacted on LinkedIn through a recruiter from Revolut. Had 3 interviews before submitting a home task. The first interview was with HR, which was nice and pleasant. I got to know about the company and it went well. The second interview was with another SEO manager, and I got to know a bit more about the role, the expectations, and the company. This also went well. The third interview was with the Global SEO manager and this was anything but nice and pleasant. She was in a rush and just shot questions at me like a machine gun. There was little conversation, it was purely transactional. She did not get to know me at all. The whole call felt rushed and stressful. I was sure I wouldn't get a call back because I left that call feeling so uneasy. A couple days later I get an email sending me a home task to prepare. I worked really hard on this task and sent them a 30+ page document of high quality information in both English and German that I spent several days preparing. After a week of silence, I eventually get an email saying that I wasn't chosen... and that's it. No feedback or anything. I emailed back asking for the reason I wasn't chosen and the response I got was "we can't share feedback on the exact reasons, but you didn't pass the language test". I'm assuming this meant the German sections. I wrote and triple checked the grammar for these sections alongside having a third person go through these sections to make sure everything I wrote was in perfect German. Somehow, this wasn't good enough for them. After all the time dedicated to the interviews and this unnecessarily long home task, I don't even get so much as a paragraph of feedback? The process was disrespectful towards my time, and considering this is the SECOND time I've been contacted by a Revolut recruiter and been disrespected in the process (the first time they set an interview call with me and an hour before the call they just cancelled the called and ghosted me completely) next time I have a Revolut recruiter email me I'll just block them on the spot. It's a cold bank with horrible reviews anyway and after some thought I'm sure I dodged a bullet.
