I applied for the Product Analyst role at Ria Money Transfer in March and was contacted by a recruiter the very next day, which initially gave me a positive impression of their responsiveness. The process included a recruiter call, an assessment, and two rounds of interviews, spread out over the course of two months. As part of the process, I was asked to download Ria’s mobile app, initiate an actual money transfer, and conduct a full End-to-End analysis of the experience, complete with recommendations. The nature of the task went beyond a typical case study—it clearly aligned with product work that the company itself could use. It felt less like an evaluation of my skills and more like a way for them to collect strategic insights without compensation. This raises concerns about whether Ria is leveraging the interview process to gather free labor under the guise of hiring. What made the experience even more disappointing was the repeated lack of clear communication. After each follow-up, I was told I would hear back by Friday—week after week. When I finally reached out again for an update (After I had already received an offer from a different company), I received a generic rejection email that not only lacked any constructive feedback but also referenced the wrong position (Data Analyst instead of Product Analyst). That kind of careless mistake, especially after two months of engagement, felt dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, the experience left me questioning the integrity of the process. Companies that ask candidates to do real business analysis as part of an interview owe it to them to provide thoughtful communication and a respectful conclusion, not just vague updates and boilerplate rejections.

I spent hours on it and did a great job. Silence. After a week of hearing nothing I followed up. They invited me to second round interviews and asked my schedule. After responding to coordinate a time, completely ghosted me. I followed up, nothing. Days later I got a generic rejection email from their system. Followed up again, nothing. The recruiter couldn’t even respond to tell me they decided to pass on me ? Seriously unprofessional. Others have said the same thing so I really do believe there’s no real job and they just want free work. I would be very hesitant to apply here at least for this position
