Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Rigel Pharmaceuticals (South San Francisco, CA) em mar. de 2026
Entrevista
I was contacted by a recruiter on March 5 and moved quickly through an initial phone screen and hiring manager interview. I was then invited to a final round onsite.
The final loop was extensive. It included a 5-hour onsite with multiple team members and an additional 3 virtual interviews scheduled for the following day. I was also required to prepare and present a case study based on prior work, which involved recreating analysis with anonymized data and building a full presentation.
The onsite experience itself was positive. The team was professional, and the conversations were engaging. The case presentation with the hiring manager felt productive and aligned with the role.
After completing the onsite and one virtual interview, the remaining interviews needed to be rescheduled. I followed up the following week via the same email thread with the hiring manager and coordinator to help schedule the remaining conversations.
I never received a response.
As of today, April 14, there has been no communication, no update, and no formal rejection.
Feedback:
This was disappointing given the level of effort required. Candidates are asked to invest significant time preparing a case study, traveling onsite, and participating in a long interview process.
To go completely silent after the final round, without any follow-up or closure, reflects poorly on the candidate experience.
Candidatei-me de outra forma. Fui entrevistado pela Rigel Pharmaceuticals (South San Francisco, CA) em set. de 2025

Applied for a job that I was fully qualified for on their website. Even reached out directly. Received Zero response, not even the typical thanks for your interest.
I am told these postings are typically only intended for H-1B visa applicants from India and companies just post them to claim they have searched but found no US citizens. Hopefully immigration service more closely investigates these sort of scams.
Candidatei-me por meio de recrutador(a). Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Rigel Pharmaceuticals.
Entrevista
After a call with the recruiter, interviewed with the Chief Business Officer.
The CBO's thinking seemed to be narrow minded because the senior team (CEO and CBO) have limited experience beyond Rigel. There was no gender diversity in the department (all male). The CBO didn't seem to be that great, i.e. not super experienced, but arrogant about his position / title, yet he expected a lot of experience from the candidate. He openly stated there would be no opportunity to work on the deals, i.e. no career development. He couldn't clarify exactly how deals would be done with Rigel's very limited cash on hand; cash position has stagnated despite recent launches, a red flag.
