      Candidatei-me de outra forma. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Riot Games.

      Entrevista

      Interviewing process was standard - started with a phone screen then on-site interview. The team was very gracious, fun, and interesting (and even tried to feed me so that was thoughtful). They involved way more people in the interviewing process than most companies would. The two HR individuals that I met were ok; One of them was rather unpleasant and even kept shooting the other looks of disdain (as I was speaking) and at one point, eyes were rolled (obviously not mine). Extremely unprofessional and negative and as HR, not representing the organization in a way that is ideal to attract good talent. The campus is quite nice and the employees have great perks. Work/Life balance doesn't seem to be a thing there as the team that I spoke with mentioned how they hadn't left the office until midnight the day before (major red flag). The one major turn off was how in love with themselves (as a company) they were and how they mentioned repeatedly that the company was a challenging place to work. Every company has it's challenges and depending on the industry, learning curve can vary. However, it is a turn off when the HR people are unpleasant and everyone is so intent on finding the same type of people over and over. That leads to decreased creativity and less innovation for process improvement. I think that it has a pretty standard start-up environment but is a little bigger than your average start-up. The environment seemed casual. Personality may have been a fit for a few of the people but definitely not with at least the person that was extremely rude. Interview took an entire day (way too long) so had to take a day off.

      1 call with the recruiter 1 call with the hiring manager 5 individual calls with panel members/ subject matter experts Went to the final round of the interview process, received a half-hearted email rejection on a Friday afternoon. I wasn’t keen on the role anyway, but not calling to break the news after 7 hours of interviews over the course of 2 months leaves an incredibly bad taste in my mouth.

      Entrevista

      I have to be honest: the recruitment experience was not as positive as I would have hoped. I felt like I was getting grilled and the conversation felt a little adversarial at times. It felt like the recruiter and hiring manager were asking questions in a very "Why do you deserve to be here?" type of way and not in a friendly, "I'm trying to understand your background/experiences" type of way. I went along with it but it was quite awkward and slightly unprofessional. Both interviews lasted a little over 45 minutes. Going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they were looking for a very particular type of professional and this does not always happen.

      Extremely skills-based. Be familiar with STARRS interviewing style. For almost every professional skill I discussed, I was asked to give a specific example.
