Interview process started off well with the recruiter contacting me via Linkedin. During the process, I explained that 2nd shift would be a deal breaker but I would love to interview if they had a 1st shift position. The recruiter stated she would find out, then I began to receive email invites to virtual interviews - this naturally led me to assume that there was a 1st shift position. I did notice the job title remained 2nd shift, so I reiterated that I was only interested in a move that large if it was 1st shift. She said she would follow up.
When I hadn't heard anything back from the recruiter or company, I assumed the interview was still on. I tried to do the professional thing and arrived on time to the scheduled interview. No one showed up. When I contacted the recruiter and HR rep, I received no reply.
I honestly haven't dealt with a less professional group of people in my career. I was very clear on only considering a career move that would have amounted to a lateral position transfer and at best break even package (though from the sounds of it, it would have been a pay reduction) for 1st shift. They entertained the idea but continued to push the 2nd shift job. When I asked for clarification, they effectively ghosted me and didn't show up to a scheduled meeting. At this point, I would not consider any position with this company.
