The interview process was a phone screen followed by a "technical discussion" on phone. The phone screen consisted of a simple medium level leetcode question which was not a problem. The "technical discussion" on phone was super disappointing. The interviewer kept asking vague questions, kept me in the dark about what was being judged and told me to describe a project of my choice. After me talking about the project for 18 minutes about how I resolved ambiguity and created a lot of value, they told me that they were looking for something different. The interviewer was clearly not trained in taking a meaningful phone interview. I was then told by the recruiter that I was not a good fit for the role without any feedback. This was a waste of time.

The recruiter said I passed all the interviews, takes me to HM round, says I did great and then tells me can't push out an offer quickly so would keep me under consideration for 6-8 months, like wtf?
