Initial screening with HR. I described that I was excited about the legal aspect of the role and HR basically said it’s an EA role with little involvement in legal. So why make the title of the role Legal Executive Assistant? In addition, HR said that the hiring manager wanted to meet with me at the beginning of the interview then said at the end it’s ultimately up to the hiring managers decision if they would like to meet with me or not. Make up your mind maybe?

Before I had even went into the interview, I overheard the office staff behind the counter talking about the people that they had already spoken to that day. Not sure if the staff knows that people can hear them loud and clear in the waiting room, but it was pretty jarring hearing them speak negatively of potential candidates, including myself (and I hadn't even spoken to the interviewer yet, mind you).
The interview itself was pretty basic, but what I don't understand is the interviewer coming to the conclusion that I was way overqualified after glancing at my CV for maybe 10 seconds.
If it took them that long to see that I'm not who they saw fit for the role, maybe they could've saved both of us the trouble and not even bother ask for me to come in for an interview ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They asked about my background as an aerospace engineering student followed by some technical questions relating to structural engineering. They asked about stress strain curb, gear ratios, and how a wing generates lift.
