Was recruited via LinkedIn for both a Sr SE role and a head of technical sales role. I made it clear throughout the interview process that I was applying for the head of TS role, which the interview process and questions asked of me indicated. Received an offer for the Sr SE role and was told they were never hiring for the head of TS role, but wanted me to come on and perform the tasks related to the head of TS role. Definitely bait and switch tactic. When I pushed back both the recruiter and hiring manager (head of sales) tried to gaslight me, but I had written proof of their intent to hire for the head of tech sales role. Beyond that, the interviews were all rushed and left no time for me to ask questions. Had to push hard to get more than 30 min interview time slots.
