Entrevista
When I was brought to campus, I was provided a schedule that indicated when I would be meeting with administration. Because one of the administrators fell behind on schedule, the itinerary I was provided was incorrect and I was also expected to forfeit lunch. I interviewed for about 4 hours without being provided a break or food.
Two out of three of the administrators I spoke with seemed to take on an interrogative tone throughout the interview rather than show appreciation that a qualified faculty would be willing to join the sinking ship that is RCC.
While I was offered a position, I did not move forward with RCC, and for that, I am grateful. Not only were the personalities questionable, but also the curriculum. When I asked about how a course is typically taught, I was told that it was kind of like the Wild West. Just some advice: RCC's accreditation would probably not be at stake if the institution were to create measurable SLOs and expectations for each course. Courses should never be taught without expectations as to how the course is taught. I think it is a shame that this is the college this community has.
If you choose to work at this institution, please do your homework.

One of the most bizarre things I was asked is: What are some questions that you have but are afraid to ask?
The issue of RCC's credibility was hinted at throughout the interview, but nobody came out and said that RCC was led by questionable folks, nor did they mention that they were about to lose accreditation for their nursing program (which happened shortly after my interview).
