The initial job description underwent multiple changes, transitioning from a temporary to a permanent role with a higher salary, only to end up as a permanent position with a lower salary. This inconsistency raised concerns about transparency. The interview process itself was lengthy and somewhat repetitive. I encountered the same set of questions in two separate sessions with the hiring team, focusing more on personality than technical skills. The lack of variation made the process feel somewhat unstructured. During one interview with the CFO, I was taken aback when she chose to eat during our discussion. It conveyed a lack of professionalism and left me questioning the company's commitment to the interview process. The multiple rounds of interviews, including a surprise fourth one after meeting with the president, indicated a level of indecision or a backup plan in case their first choice didn't accept the offer. This uncertainty was concerning. Additionally, travel requirements were only disclosed when I inquired, and even then, I received conflicting information from different interviewers. This lack of clarity suggested a communication gap within the organization. Finally, some interviewers exhibited a lack of respect, with moments of belittling and making light of my responses. A positive interview experience requires a foundation of mutual respect, which was unfortunately lacking in this case.
